Places are limited to just 24 on each course and therefore application forms should be submitted at the bottom of the page by Friday 1st April 2022.

Summer School Ballet Program Entry Procedures

Junior Course

A residential or non-residential course open to male and female students.

 

This intensive and stimulating course is for students studying dance who wish to improve their technical and performance skills. It includes classes in Classical Ballet, Body Conditioning, Choreography, Character, Classical Repertoire, Drama and Contemporary. The course culminates in a short demonstration of work for parents and teachers.

 

The course is open to students who are between 9 and 11 years of age. School years 5-7 as of 1st September 2022. Students should hold Grade 2 Ballet or above qualification. If applicants do not hold a Grade 2 qualification, they may be offered a place at the discretion of the organisers, if they can demonstrate an ability to work at the required level. Students are divided into groups according to age and ability.

 

Applications

Places are limited to 24 students and therefore application forms should be submitted by Friday 2nd April 2021.

Acknowledgement of receipt and confirmation of a place will be sent by email.

 

Registration and Course Duration

 

WEEK 1 – Junior

Registration is between 17.00 and 19.00 on Sunday 31st July 2022 for Residents and between 8.30 and 9.00 Monday 1st August 2022 for non-residents. Classes commence at 9.00 on Monday and ends at midday on Saturday 6th August 2022.

 

WEEK 2 – Junior

Registration is between 17.00 and 19.00 on Sunday 7th august 2022 for Residents and between 8.30 and 9.00 Monday 8th August 2022 for non-residents. Classes commence at 9.00 on Monday and ends at midday on Saturday 13th August 2022.

 

Travel Arrangements

Parents and Guardians are responsible for making all travel arrangements.

 

Fees and Payments

Residential course £600 inclusive of tuition, accommodation and all meals.

Non-Residential course £300 inclusive of tuition.

SAMPLE JUNIOR TIMETABLE

Senior Course

A Residential course open to male and female students.

 

This intensive and stimulating course is for students studying dance who wish to improve their technical and performance skills, and will include classes in Classical Ballet, Body Conditioning, Classical Repertoire, Classical Solos and Contemporary.

 

The course is open to students who are between 12 and 18 years of age. School years 8-13 as of 1st September 2022. Accommodation for all students will be provided in the boarding houses at Moorland School.

 

Applications

Places are limited to 24 students who are divided into groups according to age and ability. Application forms should be submitted by Friday 1st April 2022.

Acknowledgement of receipt and confirmation of a place will be sent by email.

 

Registration and Course Duration

Registration is between 17.00 and 19.00 on Sunday 14th August 2022. Classes commence at 9.00am on Monday 15th August 2022 and ends at midday on Saturday 20th August 2022.

 

Travel Arrangements

Parents and Guardians are responsible for making all travel arrangements. International students may arrange for the school transport from and to Manchester airport at a fee.

1 WEEK COURSE – £600 inclusive of tuition, accommodation and all meals.
