Associate Ballet Student Application

APPLICATION FORMS maybe submitted at anytime during the year.

Entry onto all programmes is via audition.

The Associates Training Programme was established in 2012, classes take place in Moorland School’s dance studio, Clitheroe, which is the home of Moorland International Ballet Academy.

There are two Programmes of study within the Associate Programme. Enhancement and Enrichment. Both the Programmes have three Levels. Classes focus on technique, music, artistry and performance skills.

 

The Enhancement Programme provides non-syllabus masterclasses for boys and girls aged from 8-16 years.

Classes are held on Saturdays during term time. Pupils study Classical Ballet, Classical Ballet Repertoire and Choreography.

The Enrichment Programme provides additional hours of focused training and is aimed at talented children aged 8-16 years. Alongside attending the Enhancement Programme pupils attend between 1.5- 5.5 hours of Classical Ballet Technique and Pointe classes.

Associate Ballet Programme Entry Procedures

The programme has been created to complement the student’s current training enabling them to continue to study with their regular dance teacher, whilst experiencing an insight into Vocational training.

Applications

An audition shall be arranged by the directors on receipt of the completed application form with consideration for a place when available.

 

Age Guidance

Level 1: Ages 8-11 (school years 4-6)

Level 2: Ages 11-14 (school years 7-8)

Level 3: Ages 13-16  (school years 9-11)
