Moorland Ballet Courses
Vocational – Level 3 (Age 16-18)
The Level 3 Vocational Course is a comprehensive two-year training program meticulously designed for students aged 16 to 18, fostering the full development of their potential in classical ballet. Our goal is to create an environment where students are not only met with a high level of challenge but are also provided with an equally high level of support. The Level 3 course serves as a crucial stepping stone for students as they prepare for Level 4, the Pre-Professional Course.
Students in Level 3 continue to refine and expand their technical skills. This includes mastering complex movements, further refining their form, and developing a deeper understanding of the intricacies of classical ballet technique.
Artistry remains at the core of our training. Students explore the depths of emotional expression and storytelling through dance. They delve into character development and dramatic interpretation, preparing them for a wide range of performance opportunities.
A significant portion of the Level 3 course is dedicated to preparing students for auditions with professional ballet companies or university courses. This includes intensive audition training, repertoire selection, and guidance on presenting themselves effectively.
Students are taught how to construct professional curriculum vitae (CVs) and portfolios that showcase their training, accomplishments, and performance history. These tools are essential for pursuing opportunities in the dance world.
The course offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience through work placements and collaborations with professionals in the field. This hands-on experience provides insights into the demands and expectations of a dance career.
The Level 3 Vocational Course serves as a transformative phase in a student’s journey towards a professional ballet career. It nurtures their potential, refines their skills, and prepares them for the intensive training and auditions they will face in Level 4. The combination of challenge and support in this course is designed to build a strong foundation and ensure the success of students as they move forward in their ballet training.
