Our Ballet Directors make every effort to ensure our students make contacts within the industry and get direct tuition from as many facets of Ballet as possible. Students are treated to termly guest teachers and choreographers during their studies.

Kenneth Tindall

Kenneth trained at Central School of Ballet and previously danced with The Israel Ballet and K Ballet. He joined Northern Ballet in 2003 where he was a Premier Dancer before retiring in 2015.

 

Kenneth was nominated for Emerging Artist at the 2015 National Dance Awards, Best Young Choreographer at the 2014 inaugural Taglioni European Ballet Awards and was selected to participate in the 2014/15 Dance UK Future Arts Cultural Leaders Mentoring Programme. He has also been voted amongst the 100 most influential people working in the Yorkshire cultural sector and is a Steering Group and Artistic Advisory Member for Leeds’ 2023 European Capital of Culture Bid.

Regular Guests from a Variety of Roles within the Ballet Industry

From principal dancers through to emerging juniors, choreographers through to art directors, the students are exposed to experience and advice to progress into a variety of careers within dance. Whether direct in the studio, or online via our large teaching screen, we find ways to connect with professionals all over the globe.

Admission to our Vocational Classical Ballet Study Programme is determined through a meticulous audition process, with placements contingent on individual talent and potential. We acknowledge that each student embarks on a unique journey and faces distinctive circumstances. Consequently, we welcome audition applications throughout the year, making it convenient for you to submit your application using our online form.

 

Our flexible approach enables us to extend audition invitations at times that best suit your needs and schedule, ensuring a personalized experience.
