Entry to our Ballet Academy is by audition, and places are awarded on talent and potential. We look for boys and girls with the right sort of physique, physical proportions, flexible feet and flexible hip-joints. We also look for special qualities such as imagination and a natural ability to move to music whilst also encompassing an eagerness to learn.

The Academy

Entry to our Academy Ballet Study Programme is by audition, and places are awarded on talent and potential. We look for boys and girls with the right sort of physique, physical proportions, flexible feet and flexible hip-joints. We also look for special qualities, such as imagination as well as a natural ability to move to music encompassing an eagerness to learn and work hard.

Facilities

Our space consists of two dedicated dance studios situated within Moorland Private School. Meaning that all our students live and breath dancing alongside their primary education, with seamless transition on a daily basis.

BALLET TECHNIQUE

Entering the fundamental years of a dancers development, our carefully designed holistic training methodology covers all aspects of training. Whether entering the Academy for the first time in Year 7, or from the Junior programmes, all students are carefully nurtured through to graduate year.

Our Ballet Directors make every effort to ensure our students make contacts within the industry and get direct tuition from as many facets of Ballet as possible. Students are treated to termly guest teachers and choreographers during their studies.
