Dance & Education Combined

Students aged 11-14 train full-time in classical ballet alongside their regular academic studies. Our ballet classes are integrated into the academic timetable, with admission onto the course via audition only.

Students receive a bespoke programme with the benefits of limited admissions resulting in small class sizes. Focusing on quality of over quantity allows our teachers  to work closely with students and allows for personal mentoring time and individual technique coaching.

Key Areas
of Study

Classical Ballet

Students learn the formalised movements and positions of the arms, feet, and body designed to enable the dancer to move with the greatest possible agility, control, speed, lightness, and grace.

Contemporary Dance

A style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet.

CHARACTER and FOLK DANCE

Character dance is a specific subdivision of classical dance. It is the stylised representation of a traditional folk or national dance.

CHOREOGRAPHY CLASSES

Classes develop the imagination and creative response in each dancer, and an understanding of the choreographic process.

STRENGTH AND BODY CONDITIONING

Classes involve exercises that target the whole body, using lots of different muscles to strengthen, shape, and tone.

DRAMA

Students need to learn specific character roles, this is a facet of theatre and drama in ballet and dance.

Considered Development & Holistic Growth

Students attend a Ballet technique class each weekday and Saturday mornings, continued attention is given to co-ordination, musicality and artistry. Students focus on a deeper understanding of posture and alignment, and are encouraged to become intelligent, self-motivated, confident dancers, whom are aware of their bodies.
